What is the due date for my term bill?

What is the due date for my term bill?
The due date for your term bill can be found online on your Account Summary. Log in to view your student account.


Can I make a payment over the phone?
We cannot accept payments over the phone. However, you can pay by eCheck,  credit card, or post. Learn more.

How can I pay my bill?
You can pay your term bill online with eCheck, MasterCard, Discover or American Express.  Visa is not accepted.
Log on to pay online. You can also pay your bill with cash, check, or money order at any of our cashier's offices.

Is there a charge to pay online?
There is no additional charge to pay by electronic check. There is a 2.5 percent convenience fee charged by the credit card company for using MasterCard, Discover or American Express. Learn more.


How do I get a NetID to view my account?

All faculty, staff, and students are assigned a Rutgers unique identifier, known as a NetID. It is comprised of initials and a unique number (e.g. jqs23), and is required to access many of the Rutgers online services, including viewing your student account or accessing your student email.
Visit Net ID to set up your NetID or for technical assistance.


What are your office hours?
Newark Campus office hours vary per semester - Please check on our home page for the current office hours.  To contact New Brunswick or Camden, please contact office directly for their hours.



Why was my echeck returned?
There are two possible reasons:  

1.) You had insufficient funds at the time the payment posted to your account. (Please check this with your banking institution).

2.) You entered your account information incorrectly, in which case you will need to visit one of our offices to correct the information. Find an office.

What does the Course Fee cover?

If I'm not staying on campus, then why am I being charged the Campus Fee?

What does the Course Fee cover?
The course fee covers the cost of supplies, equipment and other materials utilized in classes for instructional purposes. Examples of course-related fees include chemistry kit fees, theatre tickets for the theatre appreciation courses, and lab fees. Learn more.


If I'm not staying on campus, then why am I being charged the Campus Fee?
The campus fee is charged to all full-time and part-time students for student enhancement programs, services, and facilities that complement and support the academic experience.  For example, health services, recreation centers, student centers, student events and concerts, campus buses, and athletics, among others. Learn more.


Why do I have to pay a computer fee? I have my own computer.
Although you have a personal computer, this mandatory fee is charged to all students for the upkeep and use of the computers on campus, such as those located in the libraries or computer labs. Learn more.


What is the NJ PIRG charge?
The New Jersey Public Interest Research Group (NJPIRG) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan public interest organization with a professional staff of researchers, scientists, and attorneys who work with volunteers in the areas of environmental preservation, consumer protection, and open government. I have an outside loan. Why has it not been credited to my account?
The Office of Financial Aid is responsible for certifying and disbursing your loan.  Please contact Financial Aid for further questions.


Why am I receiving notifications to confirm attendance?
Although your loan has been certified and credited by the Office of Financial Aid, it does NOT automatically confirm your attendance. The loan cannot be credited to your account until the loan is disbursed to us. In most cases, the disbursement occurs after your original term bill due date, so you will not be able to confirm online as usual. Learn more.

According to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), the university may not release this confidential financial information to parents without written consent of the student. Learn more.

Where is my refund and when will I receive it?
You will receive an email indicating when your refund is available. You can get the refund in one of three ways: in person, by mail, or electronically. Learn more.

We cannot pull your check to verify if it is in our office. If you received an email regarding your refund and it has been more than four days since you received it, the refund should be available for you to pick up at the appropriate Cashier's Office. Find a location.

We offer tuition payment plans through a third-party billing servicer, University Accounting Service (UAS). You can enroll in semester and annual tuition playment plans. Learn more.

To make any changes to your housing, please contact the housing office on your campus.
